okay, building a new system.
the above motherboard, amd xp 2700+, pc-2700 512 ram

the mobo only boots up in 100 FSB (adjust through DIP switch) setting it to 133 will make it shut down as well as 166. I look for any shorts and etc. Finding none, problem still exists. I decide to go ahead and install with 100 FSB in the middle of installation it shuts down. I checked the CPU temp, power supply, Ram, still no avail. I just want to see what you guys think is the problem.

How did you check the RAM? Memtest86?

That being said, if the RAM checks out under memtest86, then either the rig is pulling too much current from the power supply (though I doubt that) or the board is toast. You might want to go into the BIOS and reset to optimized defaults just to be sure though.
