Hey all
For the past year and a half or so, Ive had some DDR333 running at 2-2-2-5 in this machine. Its some kingston hyper-x stuff. Anyway, Ive always wondered if i could dare push the ram up to DDR 400 so I could operate the CPU on the same FSB (Ive heard that simply increasing the FSB of a CPU without changing the overall frequency can offer a bit of a performance gain). I'd have increased my cpu's FSB before, but I've also read that running the cpu and ram on different fsb's can lead to some problems. Well, suggestions anyone?
Overclocking my RAM

Try to keep the cas at 2 and the T1 setting, and it probably wouldn't be a huge penalty.
I dunno what chipset you have, but if it's a nForce board, bumping TRAS from 6 to 11 might actually speed things up, and would probably be a great way of adding some wiggle room. For some reason nForce boards generaly perform better with a TRAS between 10 and 13 with 11 being the most common "magic number".
