Psst, all you had to do was click the usergroups link and request access that way. Perhaps a modification of the forum description is in order to eliminate any further confusion.

what is the deal with the limited access?

i think i read that once you've posted 10 posts you're granted access - shurly this be not the case?

the usergroup makes it easier for those that have access.

and post count was never a good indicator of maturity, which IIRC was never used as a metric for access to the NHB...

I don't remember what I did really. When I first joined I saw a sticky thread with instructions on how to join the NHB. I followed them, but could never get in.
