Is it just me, or do those headlights kinda make it look like an astonished insect with chrome antennae?

Torque monster!
"From about 11 rpm, it pulls like the anchor winch on the USS Forestall, and just keeps on going to its 6250-rpm redline."

But not really that fast, the 20 year old VMax beats it:

Rocket III
2053cc
804 lbs wet
132 hp / 141 fps torque at rear wheel
quarter mile run of 11.27 seconds at 119.92 mph
top speed
range 200 miles 6.6 gallons

I'm going to save $6,000 and buy a 2004 Honda ST1300:

Image

ST1300A
1261cc
702 lbs wet
ABS linked braking system
115 hp / 85fps torque at rear wheel
quarter mile run of 11.45 at 116 mph
top speed 143.6 mph
range 324 miles

I'll race that RocketIII anytime as long as there are at least 2 curves in the road or more than 200 miles total distance ;)

Might want to recheck the specs Will. Add another couple hundred cc to your figure. As to the VMax:

Big is big these days. For better or worse, size has replaced speed as the holy grail of power-cruiser design. And size is where the V-Max and the Rocket III differ most. At 2294cc, the Rocket III's inline- triple is almost twice as big as the V-Max's comparatively revvy, 1198cc V-four. Can the V-Max get anywhere as a pint-sized underdog?

And heres a little write up from one of my biker bb posters:

"He had a demo Rocket 3 setting by the door, and I said too bad that you can't dress this bike out, he told me Triumph offers a touring kit for this bike, then asked if I would like to ride it. Of course I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I took it for a spin. There hasn't been to many road bikes that spooked me, but this one definitely had my attention. It accelerates as hard in high gear as my vol does in second, at 80 mph it was turning 2600 rpm and was butter smooth. It rides much smaller than the bike actually is, the steering is light and it sits very comfortably"

Yes and no. The pic is from the manufacturers website and I am sure they would not mind having their product advertised here for the price of what ever bandwidth it may cost.

Yes, but I don't like to admit it to myself, so I make excuses to try to make myself feel better about getting called out on it.
