we had an update on waht happened after a few phone calls were made.
When I had found out from Raz originally, I called joe the next day and I found out the whole thing from his girlfriend. She said that he had a weight gain problem that stemmed from his injury that prevented him from working out. He apparently threw up while sleeping and said that he couldn't stand to sleep in it, so he got up to take a shower. When he got out of the shower he couldn't catch his breath and told his mom that he felt like he was going to black out and when he did, that was it... much love to Nom, definitely a huge loss.
nom's injury was something i always picked with him about. nom was a large guy and lifted weights regularly. in a weight lifting injury he broke his assbone. i can still hear him sigh every time i asked him how his ass felt. he took everything in good fun. im gonna miss him.

Only knew him through a few posts on D3kbb and I think a couple times on TeamSpeak but he seemed like a typical D3k personality...took things lightly and enjoyed life. Very sad to see him go.

Dying at an age under 70 is shame. Not being able to live a full life is not fun, even for the family.

Same here. We're very similar: I'm 23, lift weights, and had the flu just a couple weeks ago. This guy's been on my mind since I read this thread last night, my best to his friends and family.

What's really got me is the whole Flu thing. You gennerally just think of the flu like a nasty cold, but to think that you can die from it at 23? Unreal...

As I said on the d3k board, this royally sucks! I barely knew the guy, but this scares the hell out of me. He was my age FFS! If anyone gets an address, let me know. The least I could do is send his family a card.

Damn!
See what you miss when you are away for "RL" (Real Life TM) issues.
Condolences.
Just shows one that no matter how old one is that they can die any day.
- Just turned 48 years old here... DOH! (Last Month)

X infinity. I only hope, that Lord willing, is that he will be in heaven. It is never good to hear of the death of friends or family.
But we have to believe that he is in a far better place, being w/the Master.(Jesus)

PS, Please keep us informed on the dedication/in memory of plans. U will probably get a large sum of us in a server, paying our respects, Whether or not we met him.

Man... sorry to hear about that. Dying so tragically young and while you're having such a great time with life is a real crying shame. My condolences also to his family and friends.

Yeah, that's the other thing. I've always personally taken the flu lightly as if it was something that couldn't possibly kill me. Definitely an eyeopener.

Sad to hear. I never got too deep into the D3k Halo team, but he has been on the boards some, and I talked to him a few times on TS. Was a good guy.
