Don't know how many of you remember the intro to this game where a govt.lab ex[eriment goes wrong and fubars the planet. Well I couldn't help but think of that game when I read this:

"A fireball created in a US particle accelerator has the characteristics of a black hole, a physicist has said."

Quantam mine! I loved that game... wait till you had a couple of people in the room and WHAM! Shoot the QMine and nuke 'em all!

A black hole that size would have an event horizon of maybe a few microns at most. All youd need would be to magneticly suspend it somehow in a vacuum.

Very interesting stuff, good thing gravity is not the major force involved, or we might be humming a different tune.
