That's very interesting. I'll have to see how useful it is. :)

Is it possible to stop people using it or not? It's not really a big thing, of course, since you can always ensure the automap and game resolutions are the same and just rapidfire tab anyway...

Well... I guess there is that. No-one's going to care too much if a player just has a map. :)

Edit: Unless I misunderstood... the toggle stops it from working at all, not just not seeing players?

Yup, if the Game Host doesn't allow to see other players on the Automap, the cockpit window automap will not be displayed at all. Doesn't make much sense w/o seeing the others, does it? ;)

it be nifty if someone added an acutal radar simulator. some low-res raycasting, be a nifty thing to spot cloaked pyros just before they ram a shaker up your tail pipe.

but as an aside, is it possible to have this cockpit auto-map only show players within x units of the pilot? It would provide a nice balance between having it totaly off or on.

sounds like it would work great for co-op.

Its a cool idea but the auto map need to be kinda like an over head view. But thats just me.
Plus now the rear view isn't working now. Only a window there and nothing else.

Great job Diedel! :)

Dang. The classical case of a dangling "else".

I have tried to figure how to display the level always from above, but haven't been able to yet. I don't know nothing about 3D math.

its not displaying the level from a top-down view, its displaying the right part of the level, in cases where the archecture overlap on the x/y plane.
