Caribbean Cruises

Post by JMEaT »

It's something I've been tossing around for awhile now, but I've finally booked a Caribbean cruise. I'll be leaving in June for a 4 day trip to the Bahamas (Freeport and Nassau). I'm looking through the different types of on shore activities and was wondering if anyone who had ever been down that way had any suggestions for maximum fun. I'll be taking my 62 year old dad along so nothing too strenuous.

I'm really looking forward to it. If anyone has any cruise stories to post I'd like to read em. :)

Here is a [almost] cruise story for ya. In December I booked a cruise, oddly enough to Freeport and Nassau as you mentioned, for myself and my kids. My kids and I were all excited about it and were supposed to go last week.

But ...

At the beginning of January the kids were visiting their mother at their grandmother's home. Their mother had a bad case of the flu and pinkeye. So what did she do? She had my daughters snuggle up in bed with her.

To make a long story short ... My kids ended up missing 9 days of school altogether in recovering from all the shiz they picked up from their dumb@$$ mother and I no longer have enough vacation pay to cover a cruise so I had to cancel it.

Whew ... [/end rant]

Blargh, that sucks.

Don't worry about not having enough to do. You could stay on the boat the entire time and still have a kickass vacation. :D

Yeah, so I've read. We are taking Carnival, so party++. But the site has a lot of "Off shore excursions" that you can book.
