i just lost track of time how long i have been playing around with this. using google you can look at webcams everywhere. it's like wardriving, but looking for unsecured networked cameras instead - and just using google searches.
some are even controllable. look here's melbourne, you can pan around, zoom, even turn on the IR light and look at the room behind the camera.
now just think about it. this is like visual blogs. i mean, for some minutes i was looking at countless random cameras around the world trying to figure out where in the world they were by looking at the shadows cast. i saw a lot of carparks and geeze you americans sure drive a lot of SUVs don't you. european countrys seem to have really nice public places. i even saw a surgery (no no-one was being cutup at the time). it's interesting what people will point an (unsecured) camera at. i think one was even underwater in a huge marine life aquarium. lol golf.
