It's getting to be New Monitor time... How's this LCD look?

I was shopping around a bit, seems that they've made some refinements in LCD's to further reduce the response time.

How's this one look?

Samsung 930B

Apparently with rebates and etc, you can get this monitor for under $400.00 if you shop it.

I dislike flatpanels with a 5 by 4 native resolution; the physical dimensions of the screen are 4 by 3 so the pixels on a monitor like that aren't square. A lot of the specs are just industry marketing hogwash but Samsung has made some pretty solid flat panels in the past so it looks good to me also.

Get a wide-screen 16:9 LCD.

Much nicer.

Especially with two! Image

The 8 ms response time is a nice feature.

I have the Samsung 915N (was $400 + free shipping), myself, and it's awesome! Go for it!

I just sold a guy the same thing. It only ghosts during games a little. UT was mostly great, except for a few discrepancies, but that *might* have been because I was running an AMD2000+. Why was I on a 2000? 'cause I got high and grabbed it out of the box of processors, and misread the numbers a little  I dropped the 3ghz chip in the other day, but I deleted UT already, but Call Of Duty runs even beter than before, so I'd imagine UT should be fine. As for Windows, they look great. Good color, lots of options. I have 4 Samsungs, including a 710n lcd, and love them all.

My main rig is a Viewsonic 912b. 12ms response, but it looks just a little bit better to me (I played the same games and such on the same system with these two monitors side by side, swapping the cable).
