Instant Messenger Madness

Ok I have MSN Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger and now a friend wants me to get Yahoo Instant Messenger. Do I really have to install all this stuff or is there a program around for Windows XP that will consolidate all of them? I seem to remember something like that for Linux but I need it for XP.
Thanks in advance,
Icey

So does Miranda IM. Matter of fact, someone even released a new CList dll that allowed floating contacts as well.

I use Gaim and have ever since Trillian started nagging at me to register. I like it. The only problem is that the Windows port has some issue with window resizing that crashes it if you resize a window too quickly.

i think they got rid of that nagging thing in trillian. since i upgraded to version 3 (still free) it hasn't nagged me since.

Yeah, I am using the heck out of it and it has never crashed or asked me to register. Trillian is a great App ...

A lot of people say Trillian never nagged them, but it nagged me everyday. The sort of "You're on day 79. Please register!" "You're on day 80, please register!" stuff.

Downloaded it and it works great... but alas no Hebrew support. So back to the drawing board.

What version was this, Kyouryuu? I had version 0.74 for a while and then upgraded to version 3, but I never saw so much as a single advertisement for the full version.

Trillian sucks.
why? you need to buy the pro version in order to use plugins.

works just fine in it's stock (no plugins) form.

Yeah, it sure does. It needs no plugin to make it work.

Trillian Pro includes a handy plugin that id use to chat on a Lan. But why do I have to pay extra for it?
ANd ever since they turned it into bloatware I moved to Miranda IM and have since appreciated it and never looked back. Oh yea, and the Lan chat protocol is free.

Please re-read my post. I said to
extend functionality, not make it work. You know, as in add features that aren't already present.
