Yeah if I won a lotto that big I freakin buy a new server for it to sit on and donate it to you all Image

Then massive LAN party(s). Image

Probably wouldn't quit my job, just take some time off till the wow factor wore off.

Yeah, that would be kewl to be rich enough to do that stuff. I I would build a lan party center complete with a heliport and offer free airfare and entry for all DBB'ers at any time. ... Make the food free and fill it with hot new gaming rigs ...

The people still haven't come forward to claim the prize. I drove by the place where the ticket was sold last night and they have a big sign saying "We sold the 230 million dollar ticket!" And there was a news crew out of Washington DC there.

For me, the money would go to:

Sickone

Assorted Medical Researchs
Family
My bank account Image

and last but not least:
A badass Mesa Boogie rig
some assorted basses... and that custom Gibson Image

whewt!

hopefully the winner is somewhat generous!

Since when did less than quarter of a billion become "almost a billion"?

Well, under the rule of 72, it wouldn't take long for it to do so.

As far as me, I wouldn't go on a spree and start dumping that money everywhere I go. I would buy a nice home, nice car and a few other thing and then immediately put the rest into a variable annuity so that it could grow even MORE as I was taking money out. Hell, $30,000,000 would grow to $99,109,469.00 in 12 years at 10%. Basically, I would be rich and I would STAY rich and leave a legacy behind for my children and grandchildren instead of ending up broke within 10 years like a lot of lottery winners do.
