Ok kids, gather around the campfire so I can tell ya a little story. Well, my dad runs in the house and says that something's going on. Someone was down by the road (a highway) and was yelling, "HELP ME! I FELL OUT OF A WINDOW!" Which is weird because there aren't too many people who lives around us in the first place. Anyway, dad runs outside as mom and I looks out the window trying to see something. Dad's friend drives down to the end of the driveway trying to see something and a cop finally pulls up. Dad comes back in at this point with a gun (just in case), but he didn't know the cop was out there so we told him and he ran down there to meet him. About 10 - 15 minutes pass and I finally walk outside cause I don't know what's going on.

Just for you to have a picture, we live off the road a good bit and up a hill, so there's a good 2 or 3 acres between us and the road. I'm standing in our garage doorway with my mom, watching to see if anything is going on and I can't see anyone but the cop and the silouette(sp?) of people. I don't know how many at this point. I finally see some movement, and it looks like someone was struggling then I heard a "PAP" that sounded like some kind of gun shot. The mystery guy yells and runs away and my dad yells at him, "Go ahead and run out in the road and get hit, dummy!" (THAT'S MY DAD!) Not much happens for a while after that except for the cop moving from our driveway to the other side of the road.

We don't have a clue what's going on at this point. We know we heard something like a gun shot and the guy ran so we don't know if someone got hurt, until now. An ambulance pulls up, without any lights flashing, and stops behind the cop car. Shortly afterwards there's 5 cop cars from 3 different counties and a state trooper and an ambulance all out in the road. Finally, my dad comes up the drive.

As it all turns out, the guy was being transported from one county to another and he freakin kicked out the back glass of the police car and jumped out, handcuffed and all, going 60 miles an hour. He tried to do it again and the loud "PAP" that sounded like a gun shot was actually the cop (who was really old and didn't know what he was doing, my dad's friend had to call an ambulance!) hitting the guy's knee with a slapjack. OUCH!!! He still got up and ran away, with his pants falling down, until he fell into the ditch. Oh, and I didn't mention but he had already been maced when he was trying to kick out the glass.
