Have to get down the vents from my memory. Tricky, but it can be done... you have to rush in between plumes of steam I recall. And one vent is easier than the other two.

you will need to trichord and burn.

Go till you find a switch, throw it. you can contiune on for more goodies and fighting or go back out to go down one of the huge stacks out side.

Remember, use your guide-bot. D3 is a bit more vague than the other 2 games.

Shift-tab will give you the menu to your objectives and sub-objectives.

Ok,

There is a stack in the open field. There are 3 vents all venting steam alternately.

Fly down one of those when the door opens. You will have to use your afterburners and trichord to get down it when a door opens and steam comes out.

Fly thru this area until you find one of those large rectangular switches that turns when you shoot it. It's in a room with raised sidewalks. A picture above it will show one of those huge silo cooling towers with the top now open. There are 3 of these towers back in separate canyons.

(I'll check back later)

Some vents are easier to go down than others. If you're getting a lot of resistance from one, try one of the others.

You don't have to trichord to get down them. I've flown headlong down them, AB at full burn, and have gotten through. It's more about timing your thrust and choosing the right tube to tackle. ;)

Word of warning: Once you get in, don't start napping. There's Old Scratches in there!

that steam will damage your shields too. so dont take too long in those stacks.

Just fly over to the vents and go in the tallest one on the left and AB down it and slide along the wall if you cant get down using the AB till you get to the bottom. Sometimes the hatch will close at the bottom before you get through, thats okay, just be ready to fly through quickly when it opens and head for the far end of the room and quickly turn around because 2-3 old scratch bots will appear *do not let them get close or theyll whack off all your good weapons*, just quickly shoot them and take any powerups that appear once youve blown them up. Also look for the MD *Mass Driver* in the middle vent just below where you go up into it.

Does any one remember how to get in the security tower on this level? The door was locked and I don't recall finding a key anywhere.

UUuuu. Doesnt anybody know that there are depressions allong the inner wall?

Wait till the door opens, AB in and immediately slide to one of the side walls into the depression. Wait there until the smoke passes. Then go down to the next door. Wait till it opens and AB in and wail on the 3 Old scratches in there and just for spite kill that little antena bot.

Breaking the windows did the trick. I thought I had tried shooting them out.
