Logitech 7-12 Buttons not recognized in D3

Post by STP-Higgs »

I am using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro JS. The Logitech profiler shows everything working correctly. It will pitch and bank as it should in D3, but D3 will not allow me to assign functions to the buttons 7 through 12 on the base. It will allow me to assign functions to any other button on the JS. Any suggestions?

Thanks! :D

Can you re-map those buttons to transmit letters that descent can recognize, like jkliop?

I had to do that w/ my mx510.

I never tried the base buttons on my stick (same one) but all the buttons on the handle work fine. If I have time, I'll try it tonight when I get home.

I looked, but could not find any way to remap the buttons. When in D3 you hit F2, then Joy/Mouse, then click on the blank oval for like, forward, reverse etc, then it has the message to press a button on the mouse or JS (including hat), I can push any button on my JS, or Keyboard and it will accept it OTHER THAN the 7 through 12 buttons on the JS.

Higgs, what he meant is to use the Logitech software to map the buttons to some KB letters and then in D3, assign those keys to the function and then when you press the button on your stick, the Logitech software will know it's assigned to the "x" key and signal that.

Yeah, I looked for a way to do that, but I don't see any way of assigning keys to the js. That is the way I used to set up my sidewinder, so I know what you are describing.

Go into the Logitech software for the stick. Select D3 as the game, then do this..

- Highlight a button in the main screen
- Left click
- Select assignment
- New command
- Type in a name for it
- Record the keyboard letter
- Launch D3, go into the config, then select the item you want to set as that button and press the keyboard key you assigned in step 5.
