Network Update - 06/08/2005 - Posted by andrew
The packets have again come out to play today. We apologise for the splits caused by the attacks and are continuing our work to deal with those responsible. We thank you for your continued patience during this difficult time.
Network Stabilizing - 06/06/2005 - Posted by Milon
Thank you for your patience and support over the past few weeks. We appreciate the hard work of many helpers and server admins who worked under difficult conditions. The network is beginning to stabilize and hopefully we will emerge stronger than before. Although we don't believe we are clear of the danger, we wanted to give our userbase an update. Our goal to provide the best 100% free gaming network hasn't wavered. Thanks again for your unwavering support.
Attacks Continue - 06/02/2005 - Posted by andrew
It is with regret that I have to re-inform you that the attacks continue without much let up which is affecting all of our servers. We assure you that we are doing everything that we can to get this sorted out as soon as possible and thank you for your continued patience.
Netsplits Continued... - 05/27/2005 - Posted by andrew
Again, our sincere apologies for the continuing netsplits. We are again under attack by people who are trying their level best to extort whatever they can out of the network. We are working hard to try to bring this to an immediate end. Thank you for your continued patience.
Netsplits a Plenty - 05/25/2005 - Posted by Cradly
We apologize for today's frequent netsplits. All of GameSurge's servers have been the target of an ongoing coordinated DDoS attack. We appreciate your patience as we work on filtering the attack and stabilizing the network.
Sprint (Florida) Blocked - 05/11/2005 - Posted by GameSurge
Due to problems with a recurring trouble maker and no response from Sprint's abuse department, so far, which we have attempted to contact for the past three weeks, we have been forced to block this range from our our network. The only way to get this unblocked is to contact sprint customer service and ask them to deal with our abuse filing against the user concerned.
We regret this action has been necessary and look forward to getting it resolved as soon as possible.
Update (5/13): Sprint unbanned. I'd like to stress that after making our initial contact with Sprint that they have been responsive to us. They are being proactive and responsive to the complaint in the past day and received several customer complaints by those affected by the ban. We appreciate their assistance in this matter.
Update (5/19): Sprint has resolved the issue, due to repeated user non-compliance. Thanks!
