itd take forever to upload and it would be a huge file to carry on along with all the other systems it needs for a voyage in space

The simple act of exploration more often than not accomplishes little or nothing.

But eventually it can and probably will pay off great dividends. Without it we'd all be stuck in Europe and the Middle East.
