Generally speaking and all else being equal, which would be faster.

P3 500 would be faster IMHO.

Yes - unless it's one of those "magic" Celerons which will hit 900MHz on the overclock - and surpass the 100MHz FSB of the PII 500. It *amy* be possible to get the Celery up to 133MHz or even more - depending on what you have hanging off the PCI and AGP buses.
