Your advice was heeded.
SECTIONS
1. What makes the Descent franchise special?
2. Descent was popular, even compared to DOOM.
3. Why is Descent enjoyable? Does it compare to games today?
4. Descent 3 and Forsaken suffered the same fate.
5. Descent will live on!
CHANGES:
-Removed Section 3: â??Todayâ??s Gamers are often misinformedâ?

In section 4, the text "accelerated 3D graphics hardware" points to an invalid link (on the C drive). Plus, theres no section 5.

It's definitely a vast improvement over your previous effort. I still take exception to your qualification of D3's singleplayer as "unfortunate," though. This is just my opinion, but if anything, it was D1 and D2's repetition that put me to sleep, and D3's innovation that kept me excited. Also, while D3's soundtrack was undoubtedly strange, I still find it good enough to listen to rather frequently.
One more thing: while one of the quotes you mentioned about other "ignored" games briefly mentioned FreeSpace 2, it might be a good idea to include a blurb about it, since a lot of hardcore gamers seem to know the title. Still, very nicely done overall.

Fixed.

I forgot to add two key words.
An unfortunate exception is Descent 3's single player, which some thought became a somewhat boring formula of "Find switch A to open Door B, thus completing Objective C."
The music paragraph also now reads:
Great games always have memorable soundtracks. Descent is no exception. The Descent score is old school midi techno. Descent II went for an industrial, orchestral and techno combination. Overall it is the strongest soundtrack in the trilogy. Descent 3 went a totally different direction with an ambient, pulse-based score and weird melodies. (See: Descent 3 Menu Theme)

I was actually kidding, considering that the article is based on your opinions of the game, but thanks anyway.
I'll try to get a post about this in the PD news in the next day or two.

D1/D2's gameplay may have been repetitious, but the way this formula was played out made it FUN.
D3's singleplayer was not good at all. The suspense and excitement that was present and made it a key element in the gameplay for D1 and D2 was simply not present (and many groundpounders that have unsucessfully copied that same sense). Im sure people here know why as it has been discussed to death.

In light of the previous thread no one has any more feedback?

It's good writing, but I think it's still too long. You might want to trim down some of the extra-long quotes. And you took my quote out, too! (Sniff, just kidding.)
With that being said, I wholeheartedly liked the improvements. I think it's a HUGE step in the right direction. You also might want to consider using quote snippets, and putting their sources in an Appendix to give it a smoother reading style. Look at technical magazine articles, you'll se what I mean.
Fantastic.
