It's still the middle of winter here, but daffodils are coming up, and the grass is starting to grow all over the place. Bugger all snow on the ski fields. Thank god I gave away ski instructing for IT!

It was 101 here yesterday with high humidity. That's pretty hot for Chicago. I work outside most of the day. It sucked.

Heat wave? What heat wave? We've had unseasonably cool temperatures for the past three days!
Besides, I spend my life in air conditioning.

Heat index is 110 here. Getting out of the company car and going 10 feet inside air conditioned buildings feels like I just stepped out of the shower... It'll feel like 104F here today...

I rollerblade 13KM (8M) everyday in this heat. I love it. It has hit 107f on some days but I'm lucky the path I take is covered in trees in most areas.

Today reached a heat index of well over 100 here. As I haven't been outside more than half an hour over the past two weeks, I didn't really notice.
However, the one thing the heat is bad for is the animals that I'm looking after for a neighbor; I have a horse, three sheep, three lambs, twenty chickens, and six chicks under my care, and I have to be sure to check their water levels relatively frequently in this kind of heat. Plus, nothing smells worse in hot weather than a horse's stall while you're trying to muck it.
As I keep asking myself, "How long until winter?"

Atlanta was 95 yesterday (heat index 105). It's hot, but not that bad. I still get my 1.5 hour bike rides in. Just hydrate like a mad man. Nobody ever drowned in sweat.
