I can't tell what's food and what's spider... but it all looks disgusting nonetheless.

Thrawn, try shooting your pics at a faster speed than what your meter is telling you. The result as in your pic that woodi likes will be a more color saturated (intense) lily and the background will be much darker with the end result a more striking photo.

Wood, I'll have to reprocess that picture and the others in that gallery. Those were batched processed by Photoshop, which, for some reason tends to wash out the colors a bit when batch converting my raw files. When I get back home this evening, I'll try to rememeber to show off the actual shot.

Ever since then, I've been batch processing the raw files in the Canon software first before editing in Photoshop. Photoshop is fine when I do them one at a time though. One of those things I've learned as a newb

Very nice! if you're looking for constructive criticism, with macro, it's best to shoot with a small aperture (high fstop number.. like f8 on most digital cameras, or even higher if you can) because it will increase your depth of field and make more things in focus. I have a similar series of spider feeding shots myself... :D

Thrawn, the problem with Photoshop and RAW files is that the RAW format differs from manufacturer to manufacturer, and even from model to model. Adobe reverse engineered a lot of RAW formats to add the feature to Photoshop, but of course it is to be expected that sometimes their interpreter will not produce results that are on par with an interpreter written by the camera manufacturer.

Luckily, Adobe is spearheading an initiative whereby different camera manufacturers write plugins for Photoshop that convert their RAW formats to a universal bitmap format, allowing users to use only one application, but still protecting different manufacturers' trade secrets.

HAHA ROFL!!! Good way to keep the kids on their toes

Btw, I got a new one for you guys. This one isn't nature, but when I was down on the plaza. This is one of my favorites because the guy was really bummed (literally) when having no success getting change from people passing by. I shot in a way to leave the viewer thinking "what is he thinking, or what type of music is he listening to in order to take him away from this harsh reality"

Sorry for the confusion on my haha rofl, I edited the post to make more sense on what exactly I was laughing at.
