Metamorphis

It seems I am somehow changing. First there was the bonding with the raccoon a couple of months ago. More interesting (if that is possible) I woke up one morn shortly thereafter and no longer had a desire (need?) for a morning cup of coffee. Now remember I've been imbibing the caffene for the last forty years or so. So what gives? Someone like Roid who practice's the dark mind arts might illuminate me as to what gives.
Then there is my eating habits. No longer do I have urges to eat three times what a normal human may ingest. More fruit and juice, less in the red meat dept.,doing thirty sit-ups twice a day and hitting the weight machine are bringing back some of the old muscle definition. Not as tired as I used to get during the day. Then the other day I step out on the back porch and a hummingbird flies up within a foot of my face and then flies to the feeder. The feeder is empty. Almost as though he was telling me it was time for a re-fill. I wonder if this all revolves around my divorce being finalised. Well goomba's...start your analysis.

You're feeling better about yourself and therefore don't have the unconscious desire to gorge yourself to release endorphins, and you've found the time to work out which releases natural adrenaline?

i dunno woodchip, it's not much info to go on. all that stuff seems normal and healthy to me (ie: if that were me). you know it's a change, so ok.
i guess the big question is what (perhaps internal) force was stopping you from doing it all before? i'd focus my attention on that.
is this all something you recognise as something you once were, but lost somewhere along the way, and this thing is now feeling free to re-emerge?
i'd ask you things like "how does all of this new stuff (taking more notice of nature yes?) make you feel?".
pretty vague yeah.

I dunno about gnats but I do know the sound of one hand clapping.
Roid, I was more interested in the why of suddenly having no urge to drink coffee and no withdrawel symptoms to boot.

IĆ¢??ve moved to light beer, way less coffee, push-ups, crunches, and a sense of happiness and well being most days. The tortured artist effect just got old.

oh, well i dunno then.
i can never take caffine long enough to build up a tollerance.
i could batshit theorise: maybe your fauna-watching escapades have given you a taste for the quieter things in life. and your mind therefore no longer yerns for the stimulation caffine gives.
i know if i drink coffee i become less interested in quietly watching squirrels and become more interested in stealing a tank and destroying everything in my path (ha-yarr!)

It could possibly be that I read somewhere that the withdrawel headaches caused by stopping the intake of coffee are generated by the blood vessels to the brain rebounding to their original diameter as a steady diet of coffee caused them to shrink. It gave me pause to think. Perhaps my mind rebelled at the realisation coffee was starving it.
Cops, with your new found enlightment, will you be boring when we go out and drink whisky and try to flirt with the young girls?

What you needed to survive in your unhappy life before is not needed anymore, hence the sudden urge not to do what you used to and enjoy life again.

Have you by any chance taken up the practice of washing everthing thuroughly before eating it? Do you suddenly come to yourself and find that your cheeseburger/pizza/peanut butter sandwich are dripping wet? Do you find that you absolutely can't leave home without your Lone Ranger mask?

I tried but the chick was nowhere'sville so I jumped back on the scoot and rode 90 miles back home...at night...following a thunderstorm that rolled through earlier. May take awhile before a interesting one comes along.
