6800 GT
If I don't have the recommended 350Watt power supply (I've got 300watt), will the card not work properly?

I don't think you will have a problem.

Some will handle it and some wont. If you start to have weird lockups and problems with video the first this I'd do is upgrade the power supply. These cards are powerful.

What brand PSU is it?
Thatâ??s the most important thing, means a lot more then a wattage rating.
And what are the specs on the rest of ur system?

A quality 300W PSU should be able to run a 6800 GT, assuming you don't overclock.
