This is a second take with 1 mic. I was going to keep it private but I think it's a good songwriting demo. There are bad vocal and guitar parts but it's perty pimp.

Iâ??m not a producer or engineer so don't hack on that aspect... 1 mic straight to wavlab and said bang.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

And yes I know I sound like Alvin the chipmunk doing Bob Dylan... it was 7 in the morning.

I'm trying to decide Copsy, if you sound like Bob Dylan or Arlo Guthrie. Maybe a little of both. Sounded decent...even the guitar playing. Needs a professional acoustic room so the sound comes across fuller. I'm surprised at your style as I always pictured you as a Janis Joplin type singer that swigs from a bottle of rye whisky and vocalises about how the man is evil and controlling.

Oh, I can do the wild drunken shiat just not as well as I could 8 years ago. Thatâ??s why Martin Haag needs to grab the train because it's always leaving.

Iâ??ve never listened to Arlo Guthrie to be honest. This song was modeled after Bob Dylan with Prince inflections, like â??83 prince. You prolly can't relate but Iâ??m a Prince fiend.

Thanks for listening woodchip.

I really enjoyed that copsy, lovely flurries on the voice every now and again. When i can be bothered to figure out how to make an mp3 i'll torture you with a couple of mine.

Your're right about Prince...I can't relate. Probably because he came about after I was older and I no longer cared about knowing the latest events in music. My tastes were formed in the 50's, 60's and early 70's.
Black music died when Motown moved to Calif.
Anyway I can emote to "Apology" as it is reminiscent of music with feeling instead of didactic repetitious rap highlighted by baseball caps wore sideways and groin grabbing.

I definitely can see the Dylan/Prince going on there. Good stuff.

Now if only I could find my microphone!
