Good, free program to rip a CD to ISO?

I have a copy of Nero Ultra but it seems to only rip an image to its own proprietary format. Is there a good free program that rips a CD to ISO?

Thanks! :)

Someone here recently posted about CDBurnerXP Pro, a freeware burning and ripping program. I've installed it but haven't tried it out yet; from what I've seen, it looks pretty powerful.

I ran across a 500k file that makes ISO images a while back. Didn't need to be installed or anything, just worked. Don't get some huge tool when you only want to do one thing.

If can go buy Alchohol 120%, it's the best CD copying tool around.

Can't anymore, company got shut down for "facilitating copyright evasion."

I hardly call a 20 MB program "huge." :P Besides, it has a heckuva lot more functionality than just the creation of ISOs. If that's all that JMEaT needs, though, then go for it. :)

Actually J, Nero does rip to ISO. Just create a new compulation and drag & drop the contents of the CD over. Make sure "Image Recorder" is selected as the recorder, and burn away.

If you're really concerned about NRG, you can just mount it virtually with Daemon Tools and do whatever you want with it that way.

copyright evasion? I fail to see how the purchase of a backup utility constitutes fraud. then again under the DMCA just about everything you do on your computer can be construed as being illegal, to some extent. Yay for the people and the death of fair use :|

It sure ain't.

Either way, it's still gotta be floating around somewhere.
