Comp not working

My daughter's comp quit working so I brought it home, opened it up, plugged it in and it booted up. So I ran it for a couple of days, turned it on and off a few dozen times and gave it back to her.

Now it's not working again.

I checked the power supply and it seems OK.

The HD is starting to boot up but nothing happens from there.

What next? Or is that too broad a question.

Powerbar turned off at daughters place?
Overheating issues? Fans not working?
Make sure all the cables inside are properly connected. Also make sure all the cards are properly seated.

Make sure the HD is not toast. If you can boot it once, run scandisk on it.

put the Hard drive and video card into another PC and test them, if they work, then it's your MOBO.

Reseat cards, no help.

I tried the video card and HD in another comp.

I got a splash screen but it wouldn't bootup on the other comp.

I get no splash screen on comp I'm having trouble with.

Also, I can see HD as slave.

The mobo is a Dell E210882.

Also, w/ all that I've done, is it a pretty sure bet that it is the mobo?

Previous post:
"put the Hard drive and video card into another PC and test them, if they work, then it's your MOBO."

I did the above but only got a splash screen but can see HD as slave.

How do I go about finding a comparable replacement.

I believe I can switch them out although I haven't done it before.

Sorry for the lack of organization of my post.

I'd guess it's the MOBO if you see the drive in the other PC even as a slave.

call DELL about replacement since thier MOBO's are special fit in the case
