Mozilla Downloads the DBB

Post by Stryker »

I'm having serious trouble accessing the DBB using mozilla. Every time I try to load it in mozilla it simply tries to download the index file, instead of displaying it. It didn't do this before, and it just started happening a couple days ago, but IE can still access it fine. What's up? I really don't want to open IE to browse around here...

I am using FireFox 1.0.7, with no problems.
So it is a local problem on your computer. Don't know what you can do about it though.

I had the same thing happen multiple times on Thursday from my work computer... using IE on XP. It has since stopped.

I had the same problems in IE and Mozilla. After clearing the cache I still had the same problem. My laptop stopped doing it two days before my main box did. Weird.

I've seen this happen to. Its a server side issue. The host has been screwing around with php. This is probably why the DBB was down most of the day yesterday.

So what does it mean when I try to join a game thru Mozilla via the tracker page (by clicking the bat file launch button) and it only gives me the option to "save to disk"? however when I open the same page with IE it lets me right in....

Oddly enough, it used to happen consistently to me on Windows/FF 1.0.6, but never on FreeBSD/FF 1.0.7. And I would dual-boot between them constatntly, so I'm talking 20-second differences.

Its only an issue when the idiots running the server mess around with the php scripting install.

Which they seem to be doing every other night, given the 500 errors and screwed-up MIME types.

DC, you might want to be careful at the bashing, it appears that the DBB is pointed to hideout server ;)

If the host was actually paying attention I don't think the BB would be down as much as it is, because the host wouldn't be able to view it either. :P
