Sedition - Mediawatch

this week's mediawatch should be relevant to all. As i understand USA has similar anti-sedition laws. (probabaly snuck in hidden in some other non-related legislation eh?)

the 3rd segment (skip to it if you want) about Australia's new Sedition Laws is what i'd like to bring your attention to. Mediawatch looks at the frightening powers these new Sedition laws can give the government.
Ironicly the ABC (Australian Broadcast Corporation) TV channel is a government funded channel. For some reason, here in Australia government funded media outlets have absolutely no qualms about biting the hand that feeds them, in fact they are the MOST brazen of all. It's the way it should be really.
I'm worried about all these anti-terrorism laws, they all seem more like a powergrab .
