why would a Freighter be employing a CIWS MK-15 Phalanx Platform ?
would be pretty cool, though i seriously doubt the USNavy would allow civilian ships to carry such a system. hell i dont think even USCG Ships have Phalanx turrets.

now that you mention it that way. sure put a CIWS onto a stripped down decomissioned medical ship or something.
what they really need is to get a couple of RQ-1B Predators armed with a couple of hellfire missiles, or a Heavy Endurace RQ-4B Fire Hawk also armed with HellFire's to just orbit the suspected area's of attack and wait for them to return to their soo called "mothership" once its spotted by either bird, let those hellfire's rip away!
