Novell file system recovery?

Anyone have any software or know of any that will recover files from damaged hard drive?

I think salvage is the only novell command that may work, but its a long shot on a bad HDD. Send it out

We've tried Acronis and a few other but no luck. my buddy will send it out but it will cost about 400$ to get it. He has picutres fo the first 2 yrs of his daughters life on it.
