[poll] Your ideal candidate?

Poll you fill out and report results, not a poll in the sense that there's one in this thread.

Go here: http://selectsmart.com/president/ and fill out the form, and it'll tell you your ideal presidential candidate. Note that you have to uncheck a button at the bottom if you want to see 3rd party candidates. I don't know how accurate this is, namely because I have no idea what the differences are between the democratic candidates.

And of course this only takes into account the stated stances on the questions it asks, not personality and other things.

I think this site has a bunch of popups as well, so tread carefully if you don't have them disabled.

So how do you feel about Bush lying to the american public about WMD?

Talk about hijacking a thread there Birds. Good job.

Edit: besides, it was probably the BBC who blew up the whole Iraqi WMD thing, not Bush.

Bush just took advantage of the percieved threat to impliment his policy agenda. He didn't create the perception/threat.

Figured as much. Surprised the Rev made my list though.

And party connections aside, Lieberman has always surpirsed me with his possession of a skill that most of the Democratic candidates seem to be lacking: a cool sense of logic. While all the other candidates are focusing on getting GWB out of office, Lieberman is consistently trying to put attention on "yeah that's great, after all that involves winning the election anyway, now what am I going to do if I win?". Unfortunately his voice is always drowned out in the Bush-bashing rhetoric.

Hum.....well, reading over his bio, I can't really say that I disagree with what Edwards stands for...but then again since I've never really cared about politics I was winging most of the questions anyways, though I did try to answer them to the best of my ability.

Strange, didn't get any popups... and I'm running IE with no popup-blocker installed. Image

He said he thought it might have a bunch of pop-ups, but wasn't certain. My statement only noted that either way it wouldn't be a problem. I can run IE on that page just fine as well.

No need to be an ass about it D Image

About what I expected -- though Lieberman strikes me as much more sensible than Kucinich. Check out the awesome score by our favorite guy Lyndon LaRouche!

I tend to think the same way. Lieberman is pretty stoic on his views and has a very logical and intelligent means of campaigning himself. Whereas the blowhard Dean rallies his troops like a pro wrestler against the evil Bush threat, Lieberman is rational and level-headed. Personally, if the primaries were held today, I'd probably vote for him.
