Eh, you know, all these "Top 20 lists" are biased in some way, shape or form. Think about it. They're all from different perspectives.
Just a thought.

However I don't have D3, so that's pretty hard to judge..

Thanks for a real one Behemoth, I was getting really confused by the others.
What about a list of people that still play online today? Like you, zero, bunyip, b.l. zebub, etc.

B.l Zebub is fezzik the stick heh if we wanted a list of todays best the skill level would drop so bad as to having bettina withing the top 10

This list is slightly more accurate than Sunchos list.

Well it all is a little hard to quantify.
Whoâ??s the best ever? The best at ctf? The best 1vs1? The best alcoholic? The best teenager shooting lasers when he should be trying to throw his life away by impregnating his brace faced next door neighbor? The best descent pilot that spent 20 times the energy blowing me up than on fruity loops and then became a "musician" one day? The best chat master9000 that was entirely bored with humanity? The best dressed?
All I know is that I ate a lot of fusion and vauss rounds and I thought it was pretty fun for the most part... so yea. Itâ??s all about YOU.

Monkey didnt play alot of the good pilots a while back enough to be placed higher, as it is the last times we've played in games against each other he struggles holding 50% gainst me, not saying he isnt a GREAT pilot and an awesome guy, but his place is his place.
As for the other pilots my personal choice wouldve put sirian high on the list, but as i recall he didnt get very far in Descent (3) because of his connection, hes my 2nd favorite pilot overall so its all good.

I'm trying to improve this list to give a general consensus to the better pilots around, took myself off because i dont like selffish remarks to how good i could be.
If theres any other improvments i could make, please let me know.

its pretty hard to take someone who wasnt good at d3 until everyone already quit seriously when he makes a list like this. have you actually played half those people?

by Behemoth
Yeah i have

From what I remember, Nirvana, Ryujin, Bah, Fatal, Bash, Sirian, and Tyrant retired long before Behemoth was even known by other names like Crystal Meth or Admiral, and Birdseye, Vander, DarkTalyn, Kufyit, Sandmann, and Genghis only played briefly after then, and certainly not at their primes. That leaves only 1/3 of the list as players who still played anywhere near their best. The only way to compare would be to talk to someone who was good way back then and played all of these pilots, and still played well recently. Krom would have a better idea than most, but he doesn't care about this stuff.

Then make one.
As for all the rest of the corrections, remember it's "
Behemoth's official top 20 pilots of d3"
Do you think everyone will agree on the top 20 of d3? No. So it's all good. Everyone mentioned in this post is clearly an excellent player.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you actually learned how to play well until somewhere after mid-2003. So that would skew your perception of pilot's skills from before that time.

How is that relevant to who i played? i have played 13 out of 20 on the list, who i will not name or mention, Also who are you anyways i've never even heard of you but on these boards.

I've played everyone on that list.
Palzon Genghis and Monkey should be above me.
People who should be above me who aren't on the list:
Endymion, Darak, Fezzik, Supersheep.
I'm sure I'm forgeting people.

I don't see how you believe you can rate skill based on playing a pilot back when you weren't very experienced. When I started, I knew that certain players were a lot better than me, but establishing some kind of pecking order back then would have been nearly impossible. It still is, but it's much easier when you can at least fly well enough to not get mauled by them. I understand that you play guitar, so it it would be the equivalent of asking someone in their first few months of guitar whether Eric Clapton was better than Jimmy Page. They wouldn't be able to give the same kind of informed opinion that someone who'd been playing for 30 years could.
i have played 13 out of 20 on the list, who i will not name or mention,
I never said that you didn't play them, I was contesting whether your opinion of a player from when you were still learning to play was as good of an assessment as an opinion once you were much better.
Also who are you anyways i've never even heard of you but on these boards.

I haven't figured that one out either. I may have been considered "good" at some points, more so at the end of my career, but I didn't think I'd be considered top 20 material. You would know me probably as [III]Alien better than [RIP]Clayman, my old identity, or my several hundred aliases.
all in all i would have crown take his place.
Crown is certainly far more worthy of my spot than I.
Barry, Meyham, Xecutive, Lobotomy, Neutrino, JazzyJet, Beowulf, Darak, Wakeman, and a few others are probably also deserving of consideration for this list.

As i stated, This top 20 list is based on my viewpoint from what MOST people ive talked to have said, it goes without questioning that it is at least close to what most people would see as a list about skills, but hell if i wanted i could make a top 40 pilots or even 50,100 maybe but just because i left out a few players didnt mean they werent amazingly skilled players, they just didnt make the list im sure i missed out other players like say xeon or kurupt or maybe even jesus_freak as javed said, but in my own experience the list fit well for what i meant it as.

i wouldnt put me on any list. i was good at d1, ok at d2, and never even liked d3. the reason i played d3 would be the equivalent of someone who is quitting smoking chewing the nicotine gum, to ease themselves off. in my case, it was to ease myself off d1.
and btw, melvin > 80% of that list.

...um, the current wave is actually really mediocre in comparison to these guys. I've played more than a few on the other top 20, and they didn't impress me. People like Hostile, Krom, Endymion, Darak and so on did, back in the day.
