My first thought was "All cars are like belly buttons; everyone seems to have one, but who really needs them?" But then I remembered that all those unfortunate people who live out in the middle of nowhere, where there's no subway and it's a mile to the nearest grocery store, do really need them. So I knew that couldn't be the answer.
