Hi guys,

I've been getting this annoying problem with D3.

About a month or 2 ago I installed D3 (after a 2 year layoff) on my new computer to play a couple of games. Every time I tried to run the game I got an Access Violation and it would just quit.

I fixed it by downloading and installing Windows XP Pro's service pack 2. I figured everything was peachy.

Well today I tried to run D3 for the first time since October and it's giving me the same error, again! Even though I have sp2 installed

I can't find any solutions with my great Googling skills. It's really annoying because I never had this issue on my older computers, and now this one doesn't want to run the game :(

Can anyone help me?

From that it seems it's trying to access a part of memory that it's not allowed. Have you disabled the windows firewall?

Also, run the D3 config again and make sure it's setup right.
