D1 Exit "Movies"
I'm running my D1 games out of my D2 install using D2X-XL. Win98 on a 1Ghz Pentium processor and 512 RAM. When the ship exits the mine, the system locks. Can I do something that will just end the mission and go to the scoring instead of playing the exit "movies"?

And in case you want a better explanation, the original post asked:
This question doesn't belong in a d2x-xl bug report thread. He's asking for a workaround, which can and should be provided directly. The fact that he mentioned a bug is incidental; what he was looking for was the workaround. Can I do something that will just end the mission and go to the scoring instead of playing the exit "movies"?
His question belongs right where it is. If you want to copy the bug report into your thread, you can feel free to do that.
So, I repeat... leave the moderating to the moderators.
I think that if I had moderated the post, I'd have moved it (which I can't).Lothar wrote:Leave the moderating to the moderators Diedel.Diedel wrote:Definitely not. It belongs in....MD-2389 wrote:Leave the moderating to the moderators fyrephlie.
Actually I simply issued an opinion.
I thought that difference wasn't so hard to grasp.

... an opinion about how the moderators should be doing their job.... in response to a moderator telling people not to tell us how to do our job. It should not be so hard to grasp why this is looked down upon.Diedel wrote:Actually I simply issued an opinion
Anyway, I'm glad the guy got the answer he needed.

So I guess if my grandpa was here you'd listen to his opinion? The older you are, the more your opinion is worth?Diedel wrote:Stop trying to patronize board users who are quite a bit older than you.
... and it was still wrong, as I explained. Because he was looking for a workaround, posting this in its own thread was the correct thing to do. If it was merely a bug report, then he should've posted it elsewhere. The 'opinion' was a message rather to the thread author
I suggest you calm down and stop with the petty insults, both here and in PM's.
It's about patronizing ppl in the first place. Age comes second. I didn't expect that being too much for you to grasp. My apologies.Lothar wrote:So I guess if my grandpa was here you'd listen to his opinion? The older you are, the more your opinion is worth?
I suggest you find yourself something useful to do instead of blowing yourself up about such a peanut here.
OMG.
Bye bye. The thread is yours. I guess you can't live w/o having the last word anyway, so there you have it.
