Case lighting options

I'm interested in getting a blue cathode light for my new case, and have it be sound activated, as well as have a UV light to show off the uv cables in the case.
I cant seem to find any kits that do all 3. I have found some cathode lights that come bundled with a uv light and a switch to activate which light you want, but nothing that adds the sound into it.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, is it possible to have uv light going at the same time as a regular cathode light, or would this look too funky?

do both the uv will give you the glow effect you want and you can use a sound activted blue or purple cathode for the visual aspect

So they can work at the same time? I install a blue cathode with the sound module:
http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-15in-ccfl-blue.html

then install a different uv module like this?
http://www.xoxide.com/cathode.html

would that take two pci slots?

are all UV lights purple?

I wanted a blue light coming from the case, not purple...but the cables wont light up without the purple uv...or will blacklight work?

or maybe the way to do it is with a 2-in 1 twin cold cathode -blue UV like this one:
http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-blue-uv-2 ... thode.html

then add a cathode with a sound module built in like this one:
http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-15in-ccfl-blue.html

again, I dont know if that'll take up too many pci slots...
The DFI mb has:
2 PCI Express x16 slots
1 PCI Express x1 slot
1 PCI Express x4 slot
2 PCI slots

I have a sound card, a pci-e video card, and was thinking maybe of putting a modem card in down the road, and possibly a LAN card if I dont like the onboard LAN...

Also, does anyone know how a sound module works? Does it plug into the sound card (I'll have an X-Fi card), or is it sound in the room?

these do not take up any PCI slots. they do not even attach to your motherboard. They are attached to the inside of your case, usually around the perimeter.

The description of those cathodes say:
"An expansion slot mounted switch allows you to switch back and forth between Blue and UV Blue."

that's what made me think they needed a pci slot.

this one says:
Back switch with PCI plate

If there's no need for a pci slot, then you found the perfect lighting for me bubbalou! one blue UV and one sound activated. sweet!

A lot of the time there is a switch that's mounted in the rear of the case, in the opening for a PCI card. Usually, there's extra openings in the rear of the case, so that even if you have all your PCI slots full, you can still mount the switch. YMMV.

Awesome! I'm really looking forward to putting both lights in the case!
Any suggestions for recommendations for lighting or other mods?
