Hi!

Sorry, but I have another stupid question...

In Descent 3 Level 4 (Seoul Descent, I think) how can I get throught that tunnel with the trains? I tried alot, but I always collided with a train.

I think someone has a good strategy...

(Or please send me a demo, if possible!)

Watch for a pattern as the trains pass by. There are gaps in between trains long enough for you to ab down the tunnel till you get to a wide spot where you can stop and wait for the next gap. Learn to tap the AB on and off so you can keep it going. Also, there are scratches waiting for you in the wide spots in the tunnels.

Great... Now I'm stuck in the Martian Nomad Caverns.
I'm heading to get the Priest icon, but it protected by
a forcefield. When I entered the room, Wingnut tells me: "Among the columns walks the Chosen Priest."

What does it mean?

Look on the floor or ceilings for markings. Follow them and you will get the icon. Use your headlight.

You mean the red dots?

On my first time through, I didn't notice the visual cues on the floor and ceiling, but just went by trial and error and made a map to record the correct directions.

it takes a few tries, it crosses over itself. take it REAL slow so you don't slip out of the path. :)

I discovered some arrows on the ceiling...
But what can I do in here?

As was mentioned, the path crosses itself. Try it one way and if that doesn't work, try it the other way next time.

you named yer guidebot Joey?

yeah ... the 'blood spatter' on the floor shows you the tiles to stay in. just follow them around for a while. if you mess up, leave the room and go right back in, it takes a few tries the first time, but you'll get it.

Now I need help with the PTMC Storage Facility.
After I released that little ship with the prisoner
how can I disable the damned forcefields?
(I talk the ones with stucked switches)

The hostage pilot talk about a sinc-locked forcefield, he told me he go to the left (maybe right ), but I don't understand what forcefield is he talking about...

Joey only find the forcefields, but not the switch or the generator.

Here is a screenshot: http://img460.imageshack.us/img460/3117/force8gk.jpg

It called "Primary forcefield" in Joey's navigation database.

OHHH THOSE!!

okay, you see the switches on the wall to your left all the way around. you have to haul ass as fast as you can and hit each one. this will drop the forcefield.

when you drop the field, go into the room with the captive ship and right as you go in the doorway, look up. there will be a rotary switch you need to hit to release the ship itself.

OH NO! This is not that forcefield. I released the ship successfully... This is another forcefield in the lower level.
And I say, the switches are stucked.

First hit the switch below the camera to activate that ting just behinde the forcefield, then make sure the camera notice you, it will alert the frag-turrets inside the room. The frag-turrets will start shooting and blow up that ting behind the forcefield and the forcefield goes down.

Okay, I opened both forcefields, but I still not found the exit. The primary forcefield's switches still doesn't work. The other pilot tells me there is a sinc-locked forcefield blocking the exit, and he's going to the left switch.

But what forcefield, and what switch?!

:? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

I'm not sure what your problem is. Hmmmm....

If you have complited all the objectivs, the other pilot should say something like "Looks like the exit is sync-locked, you try the left one and I go up the right one" Then he flys trough a small door, turn right then turn up and goes trough a another door. And you, you should go trough the small door and turn LEFT then up, and you will see a door.....etc.

The only objective I can think of that you maybe have forgotten. Is to turn on 2 switches in a room. Ther's 2 doors into the room, one door is guarded by a fusion tresher the otherone is free. Inside the room ther's 2 fusion-treshers and one boot that fires red EMD's. The 2 switches unlock the small door and have nothing to do with forcefields, though...... if i remember this right...:)

Hope that helps
My english is poor but I hope it makes sense to you :)

After I released the other pilot, I didn't follow him, and now I don't know where is he. And there's no nav data in Joey's database... :D

But thanks!

ill have to play the level again........ just search every room and hallway untill you find him. remember your automap will contain data of which rooms you have visited and which ones are still unexplored. you will see a large Silver and black animated wall showing you which hallways and rooms have yet to be explored. this is where you need to fly to.

when you get to the sync-licked doors just go up the left one, and stay even with the ship in the right. the doors will open automatically as he gets to them.

OMG! D3 automap is a total chaos for me...
But I give it a try!

yeah it can get confusing. and the controls are all FUBAR compared to when your controlling your ship.

not really. move the map in the direction you want to rotate it with your stick and used your movement keys to slide the map around. Pretty simple really.

I think this 'Joey' will guide you to the exit if you ask him.

Just take the no. 1 option in the guide-bot menu.

The first option in GB menu: "go to the primary forcefield"

Escorter: click edit to your initial post and rename the title of the thread to something like "Escorter's Descent Questions" :D

without the automap... you can literally just fly til you find him. Ask Joey to get you a beer while you are looking around.
