Converting .divx files
Converting .divx files
Hey. Glad to see this site is back up
Got a quick question. Was wondering if there is a way to convert a .divx file into another format? like avi, or quicktime or something? Or if there is another player out there that can play .divx files?
Also this media needs to be authenticated. Anyway to get rid of this so i don't need a pass to play. grrr
Thanks in advance.

Media Player Classic can play .divx files. As for converting the video, any video editor should do that job without a hitch.

as to getting rid of the 'authentication'... if i were a less reputable person, i would direct you to google.... because there are quite a few ways around any authentication, and they can be obtained quite easily.... google may also help you find a video editor that might help in this situation as well....
but i am not, and i would not.

Well I can't convert the file because of the encryption. No other player will play it. I wanted to be able to burn it onto a dvd and play it on my tv. But I can't until I convert it. And yes I got the file legally
