I guess you have to start early if you want to program their little brains into seeking martyrdom.

Perhaps it's a brain circumcision. God knows those folks act like they've had frontal lobotomies.

Responding to roid's observation, I've seen alot of these flagellation (sp?) pics in the last few days. There's always a ton of blood but I can never spot any wounds. You think it's all a con and some mullah is running around with a sponge full of red dye trying to make spooky pictures to show the West how manly these guys allegedly are?

That may be the most botched circumcision YOU'VE ever seen, but I'm aware of quite a few that resulted in "gender reassignment sugery" within 7 days of birth. Thanks mom and dad, eh?

It would suck to be one of those guyirls.

It looks terrible dosn't it. Great shot for the latest Benetton (spl) advert.

Let us not be holier than thou. If you think flaggilation is restricted to a branch of Islam (May they rot in hell  ) you'd be a bit mistaken.

The position we take to formulate our opinions is just that. From our positions. Tribes in Africa get their rites of passage, still, by the most painful of tatoos, because we see it on national geographic it's ok and cute? 'cause it represents a dying culture? Of course not!! It's different, that's all it is.

It's time we all looked a little harder at our own perfect culture and realised we ain't the yardsyick we think we are.

Ya know, FC, it is possible to be too open-minded. Personally, I prefer my religious *celebrations* with more flowers and less blood.

I heard the Teletubbies will be including some toddler head slicing in the upcoming episode "Tinky Winky and the Gushing Head Wound". Embracing other cultures is very important, I agree. And in the spirit of tolerance and acceptance, I've made my icon an homage to this marvel of cultural diversity. Thanks for setting us straight, Flabby :)

surprising that the kid isn't crying. it just gives a look of "i could have some candy now", or "mhmm that blood/paint/ketchup tastes good". or it's on drugs.

isn't telletubbies french? the first time i saw it everyone was talking french (or was it dutch), few months later when i saw it, i figured it had been dubbed to english (queen's english at that).

the kid is not crying, coz he is inhuman. Now go and slaughter them all for they are not human like you.
