Anyone know about digital phone systems?

We recently bought a conference speakerphone (RCA model 25001)at work. The problem is it is analog and we have a PBX digital system. The result is the phone is now an attractive paper weight. Digital conference phones are cost prohibitive. We are thinking of getting a PBX compatible digital/analog adapter so we can use the analog phone on the digital system. My questions are:

1. Will this actually work?
2. Will there be any degradation of phone sound quality by using an adapter?

Your help is appreciated.

AFAIK here at work, digital phones behave like analogue phonies when using a analogue jack. To get the digital part your drop must be digital.

What I have here is an analog phone with a digital jack.

AFAIK, it shouldn't work. The digital lines have 2 numbers on them and the analogue phone can only use 1. But it won't work on a digital drop. If you plug a digital phone into an analogue jack, it will act like an anlogue phone.

That is what the adapter is supposedly for.

Just say screw it and set everyone up on teamspeak. LOL

You can't return the phone? I can't say whether or not that adapter would work or not.
