Its a BOY!

I've been kinda scarce lately, heres why!
At 5:31pm Friday, January 13th, little Jeremy Michael Dallas came into this world weighing in at 5lbs 13 ounces and 18.5 inches long, head is 13 inches around
These were just a couple hours after birth.
I got to the Hospital just in the nick of time too, I walked in the door, and the dome of his head was showing - this kid was in a hurry! Labor lasted all of 3 1/2 hours.
Since he's 7 weeks early, he'll be staying in the NICU for a couple weeks or until his lungs are strong enough for him to breath on his own, right now, they have him on a ventilator, barely, they've given him some medicine to help his lungs, and expect to be able to take him off the ventilator soon.
Mrs. Capm is doing really good now, and she managed not to rip off anyone elses arms or fingers
I guess we're going to have to cancel childbirth classes too. Hehe
We are soooo not ready for this, but both our parents made it down here in a couple hours, so it was good to have their support and they're all just tickled pink to be new grandparents!
All in all, things are going really well.

Congratu-freakin-lations!!! Our son spent a few nights in the NICU due to some breathing problems. It was a litte nerve-wracking, but everything turned out well.
Good luck to your little one and the missus.

You never are. It happens, and you learn as you go. Something that complicated should come with an instruction manual, but they never do. Go figure.
Congratulations!! Enjoy the ride.
Mrs. Dedman and I are working on number 2. Will keep you posted.

I have none of my own (children), but I've been around enough of them to commend this as very good advice. To err is human - don't beat yourself up too much over it.
Congrats and the best of health to you all.

I found that computer gaming and being the father of a newborn work well together. Since you are gonna be up all night anyway, why not play a little between tantrums, diapers, and feedings?

I found that when she was alsleep on my chest, I could use a game pad quite well if I reclined back in the chair enough. The joystick was tough though. I never did figure that one out.

Thanks for the congrats and well-wishes, they're all appreciated
They've got him off the vent and all breathing assistance and he's doing really well now. I've got more pics that I'll be posting this weekend sometime when I get back home.

Great news Capm. Wish you all the best in child rearing. Ahh the fresh smell of guey poop at all hours of the days. Hint: Be real clumsey like on the first diaper changing and momma will think you inept and you will not have to change diapers ever again.

Oddly enough, I had about that many wires plugged into me when I was born. I got the scars on my feet to prove it. (thats where they kept sticking me to draw blood)
