Windows XP Tablet edition.

Client's tablet is displaying IE fonts at crazy-large sizes. Even at font-size \"smallest\" it is still WAY larger than they appear at font size \"normal\" - on most machines.

it is only IE that is affected.

Windows font settings are bog standard.

Any ideas?

Check the client's stylesheet settings in Internet Options... could have a disability stylesheet enabled. Also, try loading up a simple page that has body { font-size: x-small !important} applied in CSS (also try it using font-size: 8pt) to see if it's a problem with the rendering engine.
