$41 million wasted, for what purpose? *********, why don't people contribute to useful causes rather than infernal politicians?

I'm not unhappy about his results. Dean really rubbed me the wrong way.

While we're on the subject, Kerry reminds me of Treebeard.

I like how outspoken he was against the war, but... he didn't seem to 'have it'. I dunno how to say it.

Sol, the money was not wasted. Printers and advertisers prolly made out and kept their work force happy.

Treebeard eh? Might have a point there.

He's the only one who sounded sincere when he speaks though.
Not scripted, politically safe answers designed to have a way to back out later.

I thought it was more like gusto. The guy certainly has a way of rallying people together, I'll give him that much. And the overall way his campaign worked redefined the meanings of "grass roots." By employing the Internet and tapping into the largely ignored twenty-something group, he amassed quite a force.

Course, to a large extent, this was mostly the work of an intelligent campaign strategist and not Dean himself. Said strategist, who had been with the Dean campaign since its inception, was promptly fired by Dean and replaced with a D.C. bigshot the moment he lost Iowa. I thought that was very telling about what kind of person Dean was.

The problem I always had with Dean is that he's great at shouting, but doesn't have much to say. He holds so much ire for Bush that it almost feels like a cop out. I know you hate Bush, but what can you do better and, more importantly, how? The democrats are still trying to recover from that immaturity, taking pot shots at the current President. Perhaps a big reason why Kerry has emerged as the leader is the mature way he portrays himself in public, rather than acting as if he were an emcee at a WWE match.
