refresh rate issue. Attach old monitor. Drop refresh to 60, set resolution to monitor default. Try again.

To optimize it further, change your monitor driver to plug and play monitor, a lot of flat panels can do higher refresh rates then 60 Hz.

Wouldn't it be nice if they let you use the full power of a 4MS responce time by pumping the monitor up to the same refresh rate (250 Hz).

My thoughts exactly Krom.

I even went so far, at one point, as to drop D3 into 640 mode with 200Hz refresh rate and around 1000 FPS with Temporal 6xAA and 16X Aniso. It was smooth as silk, but not even 6xAA can make up for the lose of pixels. :(

I'd be happy with 100Hz at all resolutions - but what I **really* want is monitors which are 200 DPI. Then AA can go get stuffed, as it wouldn't make any difference at all.

If it's a DVI connection, 125Hz @ 1280x1024 would be the theoretical max. refresh rate (165MPix/s) -- sorry.
