i have been noticing that from time to time when i come back, threads, which have already been read, and were, upon refresh, no longer giving me the spinning energy icon, are showing up later as unread, even if there aren't any new posts, or even when i was the last one to post in that thread.

i would cite some expamples... but there aren't many, it has only happened a few times, but it has happened. not really that big of an issue, but i thought i would point it out, because it seems to be a new thing.

I noticed this also, but thought it was my mind playing with me, again.

Probably a time zone problem between your PC and the DBB server. I've seen it happen on other phpBBs before.

Probably just a cacheing issue. If you visit a thread, then instead of clicking the back button, select either another forum to go to, or go back to that forum's thread index, the new post icon will disappear.

nope... i click into the index and the forum each time to see what i have left to read... after each session i see that all the 'not read' icons are gone... when i come back, hours later, a thread i have already read or last posted in, which already showed up 'read', now appears 'not read'.
