I have a friend who has a bad hearing problem. What is the latest greatest in some kind of voice recognition software for say, a cell phone to text message with?

I have no idea....But there is IBM's viavoice software. I once installed a version of the Opera web browser on my Zaurus that was modified by IBM to accept voice input. So I could say things like \"back\", \"scroll down\", and \"home\". It was kind of a neat toy but not very usefull for a browser.

So things like that are possible, but have they been done?
