Wierd net problem
Posted: Fri Feb 03, 2006 9:20 pm
I can browsed for about ten minutes but then all port 80 traffic seems to hault completely. Other net traffic works fine. Its just this one machine on my LAN. I tried a different NIC card from the MOBO built in. No change. VIA chipset. No visible caps leaking.
Any ideas?
Ill edit this and add more info but I want to post incase it does it again.
EDIT: Im on my linux machine now since it just did it again.
Once it has happened, the only way to clear the problem is a reboot. Ive scanned for viruses. Cant find any.
MOBO is a ASRock K7VT4A PRO.
This started happening when I tried to upgrade to the latest and greatest VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers. I downgraded them but the problem still is there.
The wierd thing is all other net traffic seems fine such as email ping and even Vortex. I can ping out of the machine but when I try to ping the machine from my linux machine it times out.
