Aaaaak!! i think im going bald.

Post by Isaac »

Well this just sucks. I think im going bald, but it’s hard to tell cuz my hair is always straighter on the top than on the sides. I could just be going crazy.

What’s it like being totally bald? Is it as bad as it sounds? Every girlfriend I’ve had says that “bald men” are repulsive. ?!?!?!?!!?! They’re what???!?!?!

I'm with you dude.

You can find a lot of helpful information here:

http://www.hairlosshelp.com/

The forums are very helpful as well and everyone there is pretty nice for the most part.

I myself started losing my hair in the temporal areas and along the hairline about 2 years ago. Only recently has it become noticeable and really only to me

My regiment right now consists of using Nizoral shampoo to control scalp inflamation and remove some of the DHT 3 times a week, and I just started using Rogaine (although results for increased hair on the hairline are very minimal) twice a day.

Losing hair sucks. I've looked into getting a hair transplant but at my age (22) they say it's better to wait until I'm at least 25 to see how far the loss will go.

Anyway, good luck and sorry

LOL, I see your point except for one thing... I would hardly describe "hair"
as a suitable shield to Pidgin droppings. Moreover, I would much rather take
out my hanki and wipe off a bald head then try to deal with a head of
hair full of pidgin crap! :P

My hair has been thinning a bit for the past few years, and I keep it short so its fairly noticable. I'm not fighting it though, I just dont care enough about it. When its all gone I wont have to buy shampoo any more. :P

IT's no problem as long as you're not after 18 year olds or say: " Hi! I'm _____ and this is my bald spot!"

No need to shave your head just yet. The important thing though, is NOT to try and hide it. That leads to the despicable Trump-Over!

As your hair recedes or loses thickness, it's important to shorten your hair as the condition progresses: oddly, the less hair you have, the less bald you look. Just cut it short, and keep cutting it shorter until you're down to a #1, and then you can start shaving it.

Ever since I was in the Navy, I have kept my hair very short. I usually cut it with a #2 or #1 guard on the clippers. About 5 years ago, I started shaving my head in the summer. Talk about low maintenance. Plus, it keeps you very cool in the heat. Mrs. Dedman loves it.

Plus, in a pinch your head makes a nice mirror for the misses. ;)

btw, am I the only one that was reminded of the Monty Python Toupee Shop skit when reading this thread?

On the other hand, if you feel uncomfortable with your new look, I hear spray paint works wonders. :P Do it right, and nobody'll ever notice your lack of hair. :P

Suncho, warn us before you post something horrific like that. Losing your hair is a thing of nature, now why do you want to play god and do something unnatural.

I've invented robot hair, that grows on command.
