IE 6 issue?
IE 6 issue?
for some reason my IExplorer, locks up for about 30 seconds just prior to finishing loading a webpage. any ideas on whats causing this?
the progress bar will show almost complete and then it halts for about 30-45 seconds, ive already scanned with NAV and Ad-Aware. im clean, i just dont know what is causing this

ive heard and read alot about these mozilla and what not browsers, can someone link me up for some of the top browsers, id like to check these out.
im going to start running down my cookies and cache files and see if clearing them helps any. it probably will since i havent cleared either of them since the day i got my current system
EDIT: nope, no help still hangs for ~ 30-45 secs

See if you like Firefox. You can find it at www.mozilla.org
The only true fix is the reinstall the OS.
It could be IE's cache is just acting broken, so cachesentry may/maynot help. He could also remove all the activeX crap thats been installed.
But trying out firefox is alot simpler, and less work for us in the future.

Alright, here's my help.
If IE loads everything except for, say, a banner ad, it will wait until the request for that image is accepted, refused, or times out until it shows the entire page. This can be a long time. Doing a Google I found people had fixed this exact problem by removing the "trick" of pointing ad servers to 127.0.0.1 in the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\Hosts file.
Or, if that doesn't work, it's possibly related to security certificates.
