TeamSpeak and Remote access

I have a TS server running from my box @ work. Is there any way to:

A. track the dynamic IP of this work machine without paying for a service?

B. Have secure remote access so I can restart the server in case of a crash. (I've been told that tightVnc is not secure to leave up. PCAnywhere, perhaps?)

thanks!

If you want remote access, I would recomend VNC and no-ip to track ip addy changes

Yeah, that coulda worked, but I didn't know if adding 8 people to an already busy server would have been good. Bill has offered to let us use his, since nobody's in there anymore. I actually got this one running here @ work. Used that free tracker that XCiter suggested and it's working flawlessly. Now I just need to pile 10 peeps in there and see if it crashes. :P

Still easy to brute force it. you can just sit around and sniff packets to get the info.

VNC over a SSH tunnel would work very well.

OK, Flip, Can you tell me what I need to make that happen?

if you are using Windows XP Pro, you could just use Remote Desktop Connection; mess around in the right tab of the system control panel.

If the above doesn't float your boat, and your running windows, you need to setup SSHD

then you need to setup the tunnel, which is pretty much described very well on the realvnc website.

D3TLT matches.
BTW... there is a D3 only channel on our teams TS server, and you are an admin on the TS server. With a 20 person TS server, doubt if we ever get to crowded.

Anyways, up to you. :)
